Material handling can be a labor intensive task, and often times dangerous. By utilizing automation and robotics, our clients are able to speed up their processes, and improve worker safety.

For this client, moving and stacking material as it was cut to length required several people, posed safety issues, and was a significant bottleneck.

We were able to create a complete solution to safely and quickly move the material from the cutting line to a staging area, where tightly stacked material could be lifted using a crane and moved to the next location. Throughput increased significantly, and workers are now safer.

For this client, small pieces which are tedious for humans to grip and move quickly created a significant bottle neck. Sensitive parts were often dropped, damaged, and discarded.

By utilizing custom grippers and high speed actuation, we were able to significantly increase throughput, while reducing errors, and virtually eliminating product waste.

This level of control optimizes the deposition of filler metal and manages the heat-affected zone more effectively, which significantly reduces the likelihood of structural defects or aesthetic inconsistencies.
